A fire broke out inside a Bronx firehouse early Friday morning, March 27, injuring multiple firefighters and prompting a massive emergency response. The blaze erupted at Engine 79 at 2928 Briggs Ave.

Fire crews worked to extinguish a large house fire in Southwind on Thursday.

There was a woman inside the home, but she made it safely out and went to her son's home on the same acreage, DeGroot said.
