New Year and a new design for the 38’ Chris-Craft Commander Express and Sedan for 1971 featured a cabin that extended all the way to the sheer line. The sidedecks were eliminated so one walks over the cabin to reach the bow (which made for some oddly high handrails) but this design advancement was way ahead of it’s time - as all boats moved forward with this type of integrated cabin top forever more… the streamlined ‘space age’ topside was a clever update while utilizing the same hull from 1964.
